Capital Goalie School Inc

Capital Goalie School (CGS) would like to offer to all MyRecHockey goalies, part-time goalies or anyone interested in the opportunity to advance their skills and knowledge as goaltenders. Our organisation has been developing goalies at the minor hockey level for the past few years.

We are looking to expand our services to what we consider to be an often forgotten clientele: the recreational adult hockey player.

Our practice sessions would include developing every goalie’s skating ability, positioning and angles without changing their style of play. Our program can be tailored to every goalie’s needs, as we take the goaltenders opinions and personal style into account. Also at Capital Goalie School Inc. (CGS Inc.), we believe each goaltender has his own strengths and weaknesses. Our goal is to build a solid foundation of goaltending knowledge that will benefit each individual and lead him to achieve his ultimate potential as an established goaltender. In the end, we focus on giving goaltenders the tools to succeed, rather than simply change their style of play.

The way our school operates is simple. We teach the skills and techniques necessary to be successful in today's fast-paced game while still integrating each goalie's individual style of play in our teaching. Our teaching will also incorporate methods on how to prepare both physically and mentally before games and on how to deal mentally with different situations that can arise during games.

Additionally, we also offer evaluation sessions in order to pinpoint possible areas of improvement in each goaltenders technique. These sessions would consist of a member of our staff analyzing one of your games and discussing what could be improved and how.

Dominique has worked with the goalies of my three minor teams that I’ve coached (minor peewee rep winter, major atom AAA spring minor peewee AAA spring).
We have hired his company again this year for our spring team (2015).  The reason?  Dom and his staff are professional and most importantly, knowledgeable.  The goalies improve immensely under his guidance, and he brings a passion and excitement to the practice that rubs off on the goalies.  I have only positive things to say about CGS and look forward to working with them again this spring.

Goalies shoulder far more responsibility than any other player on the ice during games. At practice time, even though these players play a pivotal role to the success of the club, they often don’t get the attention they deserve. Goalies need special attention during practice time and most of us, who haven’t played that position, are ill-equipped to deliver a quality program to them.
